Pretty simple really. The following commands should work for everybody:
bash$ xmkmf
bash$ make all
bash$ make install
For those without a working imake, my makefile is still in the src directory
and should be adequate for all standard Linux systems.
The following programs are provided:
xpb the broadcast protocol front end
xpg the ftl0 file upload program
xtlm telemetry display program * NEW *
downloaded displays downloaded files
directory displays the directory
message creates the message to uploaded (can be called by xpg)
viewtext displays a received message (normally invoked by downloaded)
viewlog display the contents of some log files * NEW *
xweber special program for downloading webersat images
phs general purpose PACSAT header stripper * NEW *
Some of these programs are able to communicate. For example directory can be
used to request Files and Directories. These requests are sent to xpb which
sends the requests to the satellite.
To use these programs, the kernel AX25 code must be compiled into your kernel.
It must be enabled with the axattach command.
You must set some environment variables for the system to work. These are
listed below, those marked with a star (*) are mandatory, the others have
reasonable defaults.
MYCALL your callsign with or without SSID. *
SATELLITE the callsign of the satellite sans SSID *
PACSAT for AO-16 ?
LUSAT for LO-19 ?
UOSAT5 for UO-22
HL01 for KO-23
HL02 for KO-25
BANNER the location of your banner file (default ~/.sig)
T1 the retry timeout for connected mode, T1 (default 20)
MAXFRAMEDATA maximum packet length in bytes, N1 (default 200)
Note that the window size is always 1.
MAXDAYS the maximum number of days for directory info to be kept.
(default 5)
XTLM if set, xtlm will use the file named in the environment
variable as an input file of captured telemetry data.
Otherwise the program operates on live data.
Have fun
